Surface-Mounted Intumescent Strips Kit - 25mm - Fire and Smoke

When fire strikes, gaps around fire doors allow fire and smoke to spread. This can be stopped by fitting intumescent fire door seals. These FD30s surface mounted fire door seals are easy to install; simply stick the strips with their self-adhesive backing to the frame or to the fire door itself. They can be used to upgrade older fire doors which had been installed without fire door seals. Each kit is made up of a number of strips measuring 1.05m long, 1.5–2mm thick, and 25mm wide with integrated smoke brush.

• Surface mounted strips can be fitted by a competent person – follow fitting instructions provided

• Seals stop both fire and smoke (intumescent strip and brush seals)
• All strips measure 1050mm long by 1.5–2mm thick
• Overall seal width 25mm (20mm intumescent strip, 5mm smoke seal brush)
• Single Door and Double Door kits available
  • Single Door kit: 5 strips
  • Double Door kit: 8 strips
• Requires a 3-4mm gap between the door and frame
• Available in white or brown (please note that the brush is grey)
• Can be fitted directly over hinges with no hinge binding
• Independently tested to BS 476-22: 1987

Please Note: Surface-mounted fire door seals must be used in conjunction with certified fire doors and fire door equipment. They cannot turn a standard door into a fire door.
