BG Part M 8 Gang Switch 8x Intelligent Dual Mode Dimmer 1x 2 Way Custom Grid
This Part M grid panel combines seven intelligent dual mode dimmers with a 20A 2-way switch on a single graphite front plate with white control dials and rocker.
Part M of the Building Regulations requires that switches can be seen and located easily by people with impaired vision, and contrast is how that is achieved. The graphite plate stands out against a light-coloured wall, while the white control dials and rocker stand out against the plate. There is no visible plastic around the dials or rocker and the screws are colour matched, so nothing interrupts the contrast. The front plate matches the power products across the Part M range.
The dimmer modules give smooth control of light levels with silent operation across seven independent channels. They are switchable between trailing and leading edge, working with dimmable LED, halogen, and incandescent lamps rather than being limited to one type. Soft start brings the lights to the set level in around one second, which extends lamp life, and support for lower wattage lamps eliminates flicker. Overload protection means that if too many lights or transformers are connected, the dimmer turns the lights down or off until the load is corrected rather than failing. Control is 2-way push on/off with a rotary dial. Please check that your lamps are marked dimmable.
The final module is a 20A 2-way single pole switch, suited to operating lights from two positions such as the top and bottom of a staircase or either end of a hallway. It can also be wired as a 1-way switch on its own.
Modules locate and clip into the grid frame, with captive backed-out terminal screws for fast installation. Requires a standard UK back box with a minimum depth of 25mm.
