The BG Electrical Nexus Metal NBS55 is a brushed stainless steel unswitched 13A fused connection unit with a flex cable output, manufactured by British General Electrical.

The NBS55 is an unswitched fused connection unit applicable for anywhere that requires a constantly installed appliance that is rarely turned off, such as a freezer unit or a utility requiring hard-wiring. With softly rounded corners, a versatile brushed stainless steel finish with matching fuse cover and a depth of only 29mm, it has a sleek modern profile that will complement a wide range of interior decor. Its lightly lacquered surface reduces the impression of fingerprints and with no visible plastic surrounding the fuse, it will continue to look clean and tidy even with repeated usage.

This fused connection unit can house one fuse up to 13A, and features 2 earth terminals as standard to allow for high integrity wiring connections. It also features a flex outlet to allow a boiler or a water heater to be installed.

The NBS55 can be easily retrofitted into an existing backbox (35mm minimum box depth required) and is supplied with colour-coded fixing screws, backed-out captive screws and fitting instructions to ensure an easy installation. Furthermore, it comes fitted with an integrated moisture-control gasket which prevents tarnishing of the metal edges, meaning it can be installed in a recently plastered wall.

As standard on all BG sockets and switches, the NBS55 comes with a 25-year guarantee.
