The BG Electrical Moulded 971 is a white cooker control unit switch with 13A switched socket, rated at 45A.

Part of the moulded square-edge range, the 971 is constructed to a standard design and so is a great value option for a variety of domestic and commercial installations. 45A switches are particularly suitable for use with cookers and so this is ideal for an affordable solution in kitchens.

The switch is double-pole to ensure both live and neutral current switching, protecting the user and the circuitry.

For 10mm additional wiring space, it can be fitted with the BG 818 spacer plate. The 971 is easy to install, with angled colour coded terminals, captive screws, fixing screws and installation instructions all provided – it can be easily retrofitted in backboxes 47mm in depth or greater.

As per the entire 900 range of switches and sockets, the BG 971 comes with a 25 year warranty for peace of mind. The switch is manufactured to BS EN 60669-1 and the cooker unit to BS 4177 to comply with national building regulations.
