The Universal BS Din Lock - SD Kit are a graphite-based intumescent material that offers high levels of expansion and insulation, preventing heat transfer on rebated hardware. All ironmongery installed on a fire door must be fitted without compromising the integrity of the complete fire door assembly. This is of particular importance where ironmongery is rebated into the doorset such as hinges, locks, latches.

As the material reaches its activation temperature of 180°, the intercalated graphite particles expand many times their original volume. These Universal BS Din Lock - SD Kits are an ultra thin and flexible high performance graphite based intumescent sheet. At 0.8mm the self adhesive universal BS din lock kit offers high levels of expansion and insulation preventing heat transfer on ironmongery rebated into timber doorsets.
